Be Happy For You

Others may not wish you well, root for you, cheer for you, support you, or even care about your feelings, well-being, or happiness, and some may not even behave as if you are human while expecting humane treatment from you, and all of that is irrelevant.

Since your life is not to be lived to soothe anyone else’s psychological problems (unless that is your job and you get paid for it, or you join in co-dependent relationships to work these things out with others), always remember that your task is to ensure that you solve your own inner conflicts so that you can deepen and expand your love/joy and share it with those who truly love you (and themselves) if/when/where/how appropriate.

Remember to be proud of your accomplishments, to delight in the beauty of who/what you are, to bask in the glory of your character/integrity, and to celebrate all of your quiet successes.

Clap for you. Smile for you. Be happy for you.

Take care of your own happiness since it is your responsibility.

Know that you would be foolish to give the key to your joy to anyone else.

And do not feel guilty for doing/being well on your own terms, especially if you are one of those people who had to do so by yourself and/or despite one thing (or ten million) or another…Yeah, you…I see you. Be well!
