“Self-love is the source of all our other loves.” -Pierre Corneille

Have you said “I love myself” today?
I often find that most people have a harder time declaring that they love themselves than they do declaring their love for others, for fear of being judged as arrogant, self-obsessed, or any number of reasons that may be in alignment with the very same negative beliefs that caused them to “dislike” or even “hate” themselves to begin with.
But as I watched the transformation that took place in one of my clients recently, as her coy mumbling of the words “I love myself” grew from an almost silent whisper to a firm and enthusiastic statement with my continued encouragement that she “speak a little louder,” I was reminded of the beauty of acknowledging the intrinsic value in ourselves and not just seeing this value reflected in others.

There is power that comes forth from an individual who can stand firm in his or her knowing of her natural and God-given value and worth, a power which can never be diminished without one’s personal permission, and is in fact, equal within all of us.
Each of us is an irreplaceable part of a Whole, one that cannot be complete without its individual components. You are all valuable and beautiful in your own way, spectacular in your uniqueness, and incomparable in worth to others for this very same reason. Like snowflakes, or human cells, we are all distinct unto ourselves, but composed of the same elements that connect us as one.
Celebrate your uniqueness, and the diversity of our planet, for which you play a unique, equal, and valuable part!
And if you haven’t done so already, be sure to acknowledge your beauty, your brilliance, and your light today.
Take a good look and the mirror, beyond the flesh that presents itself on the surface, and confidently state your reminder, until it reaches the core of your being, “I love myself. I love my life!”
And so it is…always available for you to reaffirm and remember…

I send much love to you all, and end this post with a video of one of Jai Josephs’ beautiful love songs, which you can share with someone you feel is in need of a little self love today after, you have fully delighted in this truth for yourself.
