Imagine that your life is a party, with the most elaborate and extravagant free buffet that you could ever dream of attending. You are immaculately dressed, and all of your favorite people are there, as well as plenty of new acquaintances for you to meet. The music at this party is incredible; it’s like the DJ, or orchestra if you like, is playing every song specially for you. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you have come fully prepared with a BIG appetite. To top it all off, you’re in a really great mood!
As you enter the venue where this incredible feast is graciously laid out freely and perfectly before you, with dishes and beverages from every country and region represented and displayed like something straight out of a 5 star culinary magazine, you see a sign at the front door, the only sign to be seen anywhere throughout the entire event, a sign that is also neatly displayed at each table, and next to every dish, that reads “Please Feel Free To Help Yourself.”
Plates, glasses, and utensils are available everywhere you need them to be at any given moment, so you begin to make your way around the room, browsing through trays of delicacies that are sure to make your eyes roll back in your head.

Most likely, although there is every dish available for you to consume and choose from at this imaginary event, and you can eat to your heart’s content, you will gravitate towards, and select, only/mostly those dishes that you actually enjoy, that make you feel good, or that you desire to try and experience.

This is one of the ways that I now view the term self-help, in regards to literature, programs, information, and life, available “out there” in the world. There are endless possibilities, freedom, and choice. You are free to choose and consume what it is that you desire from the buffet of your life experience.
At your buffet, feel free to help yourself to finding those things that are truly delicious when you consume them, those things that taste good, and that are also really good for you…Feel free to help yourself to the “dish” that holds the highest potential for enjoyment of your experience at this incredible event.

In your day to day experience, read what resonates with you, sing what sings itself through you, dance the dance you dance that is truly representative of you, and never feel as if you need to eat only brusselsprouts (unless you like them) because someone else told you it was better for you than eating a balanced meal topped off with a creamy tiramisu.
Enjoy the buffet of life; it’s here for you today!
